Elijah Mountaineers® - Prepare The Way
Purpose of Elijah Mountaineers

INTRODUCTION

"Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and awesome day of
the LORD comes. And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the
hearts of children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the land with a decree of
utter destruction." (Malachi 4:5-6)

Elijah Mountaineers was developed as a ministry to bring fathers and sons
together. Secondly, its mission is to prepare a people for the coming day of the
Lord. Luke 1:17 states John the Immerser will come in the spirit and power of
Elijah to make ready a people prepared for Yahweh. In the same vain, Elijah
Mountaineers desires to prepare fathers and sons, physically and spiritually, for the
coming of Yahweh.

Using the twelve tribes of Israel and each of their particular blessings and
attributes as a framework, Elijah Mountaineers offers boys training and instruction
they can apply to life in both civilization and the wilderness by completing hands
on activities drawing from each of the twelve tribes attributes. Elijah Mountaineers
participants will be instructed and challenged on a wide range of topics including
but not limited to: Hunting and Physical Strength (Tribe of Benjamin); Agriculture
and productivity (Tribe of Joseph); Navigation and commercial enterprises (Tribe of
Zebulun); Workforce skills and service (Tribe of Issachar); Cooking and food
processing (Tribe of Asher); Military systems, teamwork and camping (Tribe of
Gad); Sports and competition (Tribe of Naphtali); Judicial systems and
administration of justice (Tribe of Dan); Political systems and leadership (Tribe of
Judah); Religious systems and priestly duties (Tribe of Levi); Weaponry and anger
management (Simeon); Family systems and relationships (Tribe of Reuben). In
addition to activities drawn from the attributes and characteristics of the twelve
tribes, boys will have the opportunity of completing activities related to the lives
of Elijah and Yeshua such as weather systems, physical science, physics and
carpentry.

Through the use and application of Scripture throughout the program's curriculum,
fathers and sons will be exposed to the spiritual and scriptural character traits and
lessons of faith developed and found in the "wilderness experience" to be applied
in all areas of life as leaders of the redeemed community. Like Moses, David,
Elijah, John, Yeshua, Paul and others, the Mountaineers will be sent into the
"wilderness" to be shaped and molded by Yahweh so they may become effective
prophets and leaders of His community.

Training scripturally principled, spirit-filled, effective leaders for the Ecclesia (the
called out ones) is critical and sorely needed as the end of days comes closer. One
of the prevailing cycles of destruction sadly present in the nation of Israel and the
ecclesia is failed leadership. In fact, failed leadership in Israel and the world is one
of the main reasons that many look for the return (or initial advent) of the Messiah
of Israel.

Scripture promises the Messiah of Israel will establish a kingdom of righteousness
and justice. As believers we should prepare ourselves and others for the kingdom
of God that is overtaking this world and that will one day completely overthrow
Satan’s reign on earth. One way to prepare ourselves and others is to learn and
follow the patterns of right leadership set forth in scripture and lived out by
Yeshua—and teach and train our children to follow suit. Prayerfully and humbly we
believe Yahweh will use Elijah Mountaineers to shape and ready a people that will
prepare the way of Yahweh and the establishment of His Kingdom—on earth as it
is in heaven.
